Good evening.....well, this is another first for me, I have started a blog....(can you tell?)

In my blog, I hope to share and inspire.....whether it be sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, complaining about my gym work outs or traveling.

I have recently been turned onto a web site called....Pinterest!!!! Okay, other addicts please raise your hands!!! I could play on that site ALL DAY LONG.....I don't know how long it has been hiding in my computer without my knowledge but it is just awsome! For those of you who have not discovered it yet, it has been described as "on line hoarding"....hahaha....whatever your interests are, it is somewhere on Pinterest, and someone will share their knowledge with you....the ideas and projects are endless. If you haven't already discovered it, you really must check it out!

I would like to share a couple photos of  a little wall quilt from last summer and a quickie purse I made for this summer....because it IS coming!

For this purse I used a home decorator fabric that, to me, just screamed "SUMMER"
The pattern for this purse is from Quilts and More magazine and is very easy and much roomier than it looks! The applique designs are my own...

I made this little summer wall hanging for a really cranky teacher at the end of last school year...LOL...it worked, when she came back this year she wasn't quite so cranky!!!
The bumble bee machine embroidery design is from Singer Sewing Machine Company and the font is from my embroidery software.

I even did some hand stitching on this one!!! And those who know me know I don't do that!

I hope this will inspire you to design something fun for spring and summer....it will be here before we know it and we sure don't want to be held captive inside when the sun is shining!!!
